France again - why not?

Things like sightseeing and eating Nutella all the time only last for 10 months or so because their temporal constraints are what makes them so good. Those kinds of frivolous periods are great for incubating dreams but don't do much for realizing them. Besides, it's so much nicer to regret leaving and bathe in sweet memories from time to time than to let it go sour and be happy to get out.

Instead of letting it sour, I've turned my perception of France into something else. It has become everyday life. Sometimes I still catch myself idealizing the things around me which lends something of a glow to the rainy reality of the winter routine. And the food is good. You can't get around that.

I give to you my open journal full of stories and photos. Firstly, because certain family members have been tapping thier fingers from afar. Secondly, if living or teaching in France interests you, I'd like to be able to give you a taste of what it's like. Thirdly, I just like to document stuff.

Hope you enjoy.
